Who would have though that this young wwf fan in attendance at Wrestlemania6 in Toronto would go on to become on of the most decorated champions in WWE history? Yup that’s right, Adam “Edge” Copeland had earned the right to be called a WWE legend.
Over his 19 year pro wrestling career Edge has secured 31 championships including a record seven time World Heavyweight champion, and a astonishing twelve time World tag team champion. He was crowned the 2001 king of the ring winner and won the 2010 Royal Rumble.  He is the company’s seventh grand slam champion and also the company’s 14th Triple Crown Champion. With his best friend and kayfabe brother; Christian, the two revolutionized the tag team division in the late 90s/early 2000s with the game changing concept of Tables, Ladders, and Chairs.  Who can forget the site of seeing Edge spear Jeff hardy, who was hanging from the tag titles, from a huge 20 foot ladder, totally destroying hardy.

He has some very memorable backstage skits and antics with Christian, getting into it with Kurt Angle(Kazoos) and Mick Foley during Foleys time as WWF commissioner.

Edge really didn’t like John Cena (see the video below) He formed a rememorble tag team with RandyOrton named “Rated RKO”, winning the Tagteam titles together and having a memorable fued with DX.

On April 11th, 2011, just days  after defending the World Heavyweight championship at Wrestlemania 27, Edge unfortunately had to end his pro wrestling career a few years short after announcing to a live WWE Monday night Raw crowd that the hard knocks of being a wrestler caught up to him, he was diagnosed with cervical spinal stenosis and edge being smart decide to retire before something could happen in the ring. In a very emotional and somber moment, Edge said goodbye and relinquished the title a few days later.

Since his retirement, he has been enshrined in the WWE Hall of Fame and makes occasional appearances on WWE tv and on his network show “The Edge and Christian show that Totally reeks of awesomeness”which he hosted one season with his best bud Christian. He is held in great regard as one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time. Here are a few select highlights from Edges career.
