When you win in Montreal, for any Bruins team it’s pretty big. But this win was absolutely enormous. We needed this.
A slow first period is something that has been a recurring over the past few years. But Tuukka Rask kept the Bruins in it earlier. He really played one of his best games at the Belle Center. He stepped up big time, his numbers there haven’t been great but tonight was an extraordinary exception.
Loui Eriksson has been playing great hockey this season. He had a huge short handed breakaway goal to start the rally. He really has stepped it up this season, something you need out of him. He’s gonna be a trade piece, especially now with the chance of David Krecji going down.
Landon Ferraro has been an A+ pickup since coming over from Detroit. Ferraro is a depth guy, and works really well with who he’s with. He’s also scored some big goals in his short tenure here. And let’s just say that’s a great thing.
Patrice Bergeron scores a big goal late in the game. In other news the sky is blue. Does not come to a surprise that Bergeron played a great game. He shows up every night. He’s the most consistent Bruin, and best two way player in the game.
Hate to say it, but Seidenberg and Kevan Miller stink. Put Colin Miller and Joe Morrow in the lineup. Those guys mesh better than these two. There’s maybe room to improve for Miller, but the ship has sailed on Seidenberg.
Couple big games coming up, but beating Montreal is an awesome feat. Haven’t seen one in the last 7 meetings. We just wait for the next victim to chalk up another W.
