Who is the MVP?

The baseball season is slowly coming to an end (or for most of us has been over for a while). However, there is still one argument to be made. Who deserves to win the AL and NL MVP.

For me, I honestly do not like how baseball separates it into 2 league MVPs but I digress.
To me the AL east is a no brainier this year. Josh Donaldson has been fantastic all year for the Blue Jays. He is batting  302 with 38 homer runs and 119 RBIs while playing outstanding in the hot corner. Close to Donaldson, is reigning MVP Mike Trout. Trout is batting 295 with 36 homers while playing Centerfield for The Angels. Both close but I have Donaldson winning based on Playoff Push (and that Trout should be in the pictures for years to come).

Others in the race are Lorenzo Cain and Nelson Cruz.

While for the National league, maybe not as clear cut but I still have my favorite. That being Bryce Harper. He is batting 338 with 39 homers and 90 RBIs. Harper, is joined in the race with Paul Goldschmidt, Buster Posey, and Zack Greinke. Goldschmidt is batting 316 with 28 homers and 100 RBIs. Posey is batting 339 with 18 homers and 89 RBIs while calling the game behind the plate. Then there is Zack Greinke. The Dodgers number 2, yes number 2, is pitching great this season. He is 17-3 with a 1.61 ERA.

All of the above are deserving for the prestigious award. However, for me right now it’s Donaldson and Harper most deserving.
