The wait is finally over. After seeing both Eduardo Rodriquez and Brian Johnson get the call to the majors, it is finally his time. 23-year old Henry Owens will start for the Red Sox Tuesday Night.
Owens has looked like a stud in the making while spending time down in the minors for the past few seasons. With a mean change up, Henry is ranked as Boston’s 2nd best pitching Prospect.
Down in Pawtucket, Owens has pitched at least six innings in each of his last 9 starts while allowing 2 or less runs. Despite his record only being 3 and 8, he has pitched very well despite the Paw Sox struggles.
The Lefty will get the start after Boston after they have placed Starter Rick Porcello on the 15 day DL. Owens will be the 8th Rookie pitcher to make his debut at Yankee Stadium since 1914.
I don’t know about you guys but I am very excited to see what this Southpaw can do.
