Last night, Tuukka Rask and company silenced the critics for the time being. The boys in black shutout the red hot St. Louis Blues, who came into this one 10-1 in their last 11.
Rask was the key component in this one. Save after save, Jack Edwards seemed to be losing his mind watching Rask fool the Blues.
Rask alone in the 3rd made 15 saves. Guy played like an absolute warrior.
Patrice Bergeron got the game started with a goal off a turnover. Then Torey Krug scored off a deflection. Matt Fraser had a goal disallowed as well. Goalie interfere stinks let’s put it that way.
Tuukka though was the story of this victory. Rask had 33 saves on the night. Let’s hope he’s back to Vezina form because the next couple weeks are going to be really tough.
Adam McQuaid got hurt again, no surprise there. So don’t be surprised to see Joe Morrow on Friday at Columbus.
Another 2 U’s, 2 K’s and two points.
