Bruins Huge Home Win

Last night saw the return of a Bruins team that we all know and love. While the win was not a complete 60 minute effort, the old adage can maintain that a win is a win.
The Oilers led 2-1 until Loui Eriksson picked up a loose puck and put it past Ben Scrivens. After a lot of commotion the B’s were back in business. Especially after some early whistles.
Two power plays and two power play goals later, the Bruins have a 2 goal lead. Sweet passing and silky, smooth moves attributed to the goals scored by Carl Soderberg and Dougie Hamilton.
The Bruins tacked an empty netter in late to really put the dagger in the heart of Edmonton.
That makes 4 in a row for the boys from Boston and 5-1 since the injury of the captain Zdeno Chara.
Another bright spot was the return of David Krecji. While Krecji looked rusty, it was still good to see 46 back on the ice.
With a rare weekend off, the B’s get ready for New Jersey on Monday. Then two huge games against Toronto and Montreal. Both of those games are on the road.
Hopefully the Bruins can continue on this streak. But until Monday, let’s get ready for the Devils.

  1. When they turn it on, they are damn tough. I am encouraged by the depth, contributions from all parts of the roster, and the serious stepping up in play (Hamilton!) that I’ve seen.
